Angel Springs, the UK’s leading service provider of both bottled and mains-fed water coolers, provided a donation of bottled water to support the Arthritis Research’s UK Charity Golf Day on October 7th at Whipsnade Park Golf Course, Berkhamstead.
Arthritis affects over 10 million people in the UK and as a charity Arthritis Research UK funds research in order to provide information for patients, the general public and health professionals raising awareness of arthritis.
It was the 14th year running that the Arthritis Research UK Charity has organised the event. Angel Springs has helped out again this year, providing water for participants to drink. Angel Springs has helped support Arthritis Research UK before, as part of its Angels in the Community charity scheme.
A total of £3670 was raised on the day through raffles and competitions which will go towards helping many of the people who suffer arthritis across the UK.
John Murphy, commercial director for Angel Springs, explained: “Arthritis Research is a UK-wide charity working to help alleviate the strain for sufferers of arthritis. It helps fund research into causes, treatments and cures for arthritis, whilst campaigning for better support for those living with the condition.
“Angel Springs set up the Angels in the Community scheme to provide on-going support for important charities like Arthritis Research UK, and we were really pleased to help out with the UK Charity Golf Day on October 7th.”
