One of the UK’s leading water cooler service providers Angel Springs, which has a significant operation in Hertfordshire, has moved to larger premises and created new jobs after a series of new business wins. Having previously been based at smaller premises on Toms Hill Estate in Aldbury since 1984, the business has now relocated its Hertfordshire operations to a new state-of-the-art 13,500 square foot building situated on a 26,000 square foot (0.5 acre) acre site on Swallow Park in Hemel Hempstead. The move will help to facilitate Angel Springs’ future growth ambitions and enable them to further increase customer orders. It also provides the business with better storage facilities and improved transport links to the wider Hertfordshire, London and Southern Counties region. This is a move which is key to Angel Springs’ continuing growth strategy, as it provides the businesses 26 drivers which are based at the Hemel Hempstead operation with easy access to the region’s network of motorways and A-roads. Angel Springs has a growing network of around 30,000 customers situated across the UK ranging from SMEs to multi-site blue chip organisations, including the BBC, Marriott Hotels, ISS and Johnson Controls. So far in 2012, the business has secured more than 1000 new customer wins in the South of the UK, with around 250 based in Hertfordshire and Home Counties area. The Hemel Hempstead business, which is headed up by General Manager Richard Blackwell, currently employs 54 people, but hopes to further increase head count in the near future with a particular emphasis on the recruitment of sales and distribution staff. Last year, Angel Springs completed the acquisition of Hertfordshire-based Water at Work which increased customer density and service distribution efficiencies in the region. Commenting on the relocation, Richard Blackwell, General Manager at Angel Springs in Hemel Hempstead said: “Angel Springs has enjoyed solid growth and progression in recent years and as a result, we were more than ready to relocate to much larger premises. “We are fully committed to providing a high standard of service to our growing customer base in the wider Hertfordshire and Southern Counties region, and we were keen to find suitable premises close to our roots in Aldbury that were big enough to accommodate our storage needs, as well as our growing team of employees. The half-acre site on which our building is located is perfect for our existing needs and it also provides us with space for further expansion as and when we need it.”
