Angel Springs water coolers have taken part in the 2013 Comic Relief fundraising appeal by having a ‘Role Reversal Day.’ The boys have opted for dresses, shoes and handbags and the girls have opted for shirts, ties, football shirts, and weird looking beards in different shapes and sizes for a donation of £2.
Comic Relief was launched on Christmas Day 1985 to help raise money for people in desperate need in parts of Africa and today 28 years later the money raised by initiatives such as Send My Friend to School, Time to Change, Fairtrade, Robin Hood Tax, See Africa Differently, just to name a few they have been able to raise £800 million and helped to change the lives of millions of people in the UK and across the world.
Rachel Jones Commercial Manager commented ‘Once again my team have not let me down when I ask them to support charity. Dressing up as your alter ego has been really funny and I am very impressed with all the effort that has gone into the outfits. It has been very strange this week listening to the guys planning what dresses they were going to wear!! Also some of the guys have now realised now useful it is to carry a handbag! Comic relief is such a great cause and this was a fantastic way to raise money. Well done to everyone.’
Our southern sales team also took part in raising money for Comic Relief by dressing up as something beginning the first letter of their names.
Carolyn Gillet, Southern Telephone Sales Manager commented, 'We've had a really good day - have raised money by doing the Keith Lemon Bestseller Sweepstake, and have had a swear jar in the office for a few weeks.'
