    During the cold winter months, there is nothing more comforting than a mug of steaming hot chocolate, mulled wine or eggnog, in front of a roaring fire. These drinks are warm and satisfying, but often laden with sugar and fat, meaning they are not that great for your health. There are lots of healthy alternatives to the calorie laden winter favourites; that will keep you toasty warm and offer health giving properties to boot. Try one of these delicious drinks to keep you warm, healthy, and hydrated throughout the winter.

    Hot water, Lemon, and Honey is a classic warming winter drink, known for its health-giving properties. Everyone has had a steaming hot cup of lemon and honey infused water made for them by their mother or grandma when the first signs of a cold show. Hot honey and lemon water offers a myriad of benefits, it can boost the functioning of the immune system and the adrenal glands, balances the bodies pH levels, improves absorption of nutrients and cleanses the urinary track, flushing out toxins from the body. It’s a simple but satisfying drink that will keep you warm, healthy and hydrated.

    Ginger tea is the perfect drink to start off your day with. Ginger is renowned for its healing properties; it’s loaded with nutrients that have numerous benefits for the body and brain.
