Water fun way to help charity: Angel Springs supports the Cure Leukaemia fun run 2012

Leading water cooler supplier Angel Springs helped fundraising charity Cure Leukaemia UK in the annual 5K fun run in the West Midlands this weekend by providing 1,500 bottles of water for runners.

Jane Plested and Julia Warrilow from Angel Springs tackled the 5k course along with Jane’s daughter, Laura at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield, on Sunday, May 27th.

As well as participating, Angel Springs supported the event as part of its Angels in the community charity initiative.

“This is a charity in which our colleague Simon Bridges is still very much involved,” said Jane.

“Angel Springs again provided the water for this event and it would be great if we could get as many sponsors as possible for this very worthy cause.”

John Murphy, commercial director for Angel Springs, said the fundraiser was just one of the local charity events that Angel Springs supports.

“We look to help support local good causes wherever possible,” he said. “Our Angels in the Community programme was set up to help identify local charities we could get involved with.

“On top of that, our staff are active members of the local community and regularly get involved in fundraisers. We always try to support our staff in their fundraising endeavours, and this weekend was no different.”
