    The 2018 Clean Water Scholarship

    Waterlogic understand the power of education and the importance of students pursuing their passions, which is why we want to reward creative individuals, thoughtful writers and innovative leaders of the future through the Waterlogic Scholarship competition.

    This year we are awarding one student in or entering college a $1,500 scholarship and as you might expect, the scholarship is extremely competitive. Last year we received thousands of submissions across the US.

    The competition

    • Write a 600-800 word essay on the question below - Please do not go over the word count
    • Visit the Waterlogic Scholarship page to submit your essay and fill out the Waterlogic Scholarship Survey - All candidates must complete this survey to be eligible.

    All online scholarship submissions must be received by May 31, 2018 to be eligible for entry. The winner will be chosen at the close of the contest in June 2018.

    The essay

    Accessible clean water: How can we achieve it?

    783 million people worldwide do not have access to safe, clean water. In developing countries, as much as 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions. Given the resources of today’s technological age, how can the problem of clean water be resolved? Choose one solution and in 600-800 words explain how this idea would specifically impact developing countries.

    Eligible students

    In order to qualify for the Waterlogic Scholarship you must review the eligibility section and the terms & conditions below, You must meet all of the following requirements:

    • Be a current student attending school or college in the US
    • Be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident
    • If you are a high school senior, anticipate receiving your high school diploma
    • Plan on attending an accredited US institution (two- or four-year college)
    • Have a minimum 3.00 GPA
    • Cannot be a relative of any employee of Waterlogic or Waterlogic subsidiaries

    Scholarship Terms & Conditions

    Scholarship Contest Rules and Disclaimers: Employees of Waterlogic and their immediate families are ineligible. By submitting your essay, you agree that Waterlogic may use your essay or answers in whole or in part for promotional purposes. No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per student permitted. Personal information provided by all entrants, such as name, address, phone and email address will not be sold or shared with any third party. This information will remain confidential and used to verify and contact the winner. Entrants will not receive solicitation from Waterlogic. Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for other prizes. Only students enrolled in college or with an expected college enrollment date up to 12 months in the future or eligible to enter. Waterlogic reserves the right to verify date of High School graduation and/or college enrollment for any entrant. These rules are subject to change at any time by Waterlogic.

    All federal, state and other tax liabilities arising from this Contest will be the sole responsibility of the Contest winner. Waterlogic, affiliates, advertising and promotions agencies, and each of their respective employees, agents and contractors shall have no liability and shall be held harmless by you for any and all damage, loss, liability or any injuries to person, business or properties, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of your participation in this Contest, or your acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize(s) awarded hereunder to you.

    Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually in Delaware State. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorney's fees.
